The Story So Far
It’s hard to pinpoint exactly when I first started Skateboarding. If I’d have known the profound effect it’d have on my life, perhaps I’d have paid more attention to the dates! What I can tell you is that the past 20 or so years have provided me with some incredible experiences, times shared with amazing people, and opportunities share what I love with the next generation.
From international contests, to grassroots skateboarding projects and all points in between, I’ve been fortunate enough to live what I love. Skateboarding has taught me a great deal about myself, and has provided me with vital life lessons which I carry into my everyday life: The acceptance of failure, the importance of resilience, and the necessity to give back.
Since turning Pro, I’ve represented the U.K at a number of international contests since 2015, while balancing my skateboarding career with a career in coaching and community project management at LS-TEN Skatepark in Leeds. Though a holistic coaching approach, I aim to build learner’s confidence and self-esteem providing a safe and positive start in skateboarding. I’ve been recognised for my work in the community, receiving the Highly Commended Award in the Unsung Sporting Hero Category of the Leeds Compassionate City Awards 2023.
I have also had the opportunity to work with businesses and organisations to create content for socila media to advertise products or services, with previous clients including The National Lottery and C4 Energy.
I’m able to offer a number of services, ranging from demonstrations and workshops, to school appearances for careers talks. I can inspire young people by sharing my experiences, emphasizing the importance of resilience and self-development.
I pride myself on excellent communication and a customer-centric approach to ensure the best service to all my clients, while demonstrating exceptional role-model behaviour when working with children and young people.
